Immunology

About the course

You will learn about the components of the immune system and their roles in host defense at the cellular level. This is a prerequisite for both the understanding of disease pathophysiology and clinical practice. You will also learn about the immune mechanisms of responses to vaccines, congenital and acquired immunodeficiencies which are both highly tested in your exams, and cell surface markers, which are high yield for understanding immune cell interactions and for laboratory diagnosis. Additionally, you will learn about the roles and functions of major cytokines and chemokines.

This complex subject has been simplified tremendously by maximizing the usage of our designer ‘Mendel Sketchnotes’ which help in simplifying the most difficult subjects into easy and recallable topics.

Who can attend

The course also includes clinically-oriented MCQs that cover all the high-yield topics that are most frequently tested in the PG-entrance exams like the USMLE, NEET-PG/NEXT, INI-CET and PLAB.

What you will learn

  • Lymphoid structures: Lymph node, Spleen, Thymus
  • Cells and components of the immune system: MHC, Complement, B&T lymphocytes, NK cells
  • Immune responses: Innate and Adaptive
  • Immunosuppresants, monoclonal antibodies
  • Vaccination
  • Transplant immunology
  • Self-assessment test with performance analysis
