About the course

You will learn about the components of the immune system and their roles in host defense at the cellular level. This is a prerequisite for both the understanding of disease pathophysiology and clinical practice. You will also learn about the immune mechanisms of responses to vaccines, congenital and acquired immunodeficiencies which are both highly tested in your exams, and cell surface markers, which are high yield for understanding immune cell interactions and for laboratory diagnosis. Additionally, you will learn about the roles and functions of major cytokines and chemokines.
