Pharmacology

About the course

You will learn about all the mechanisms and important adverse effects of key drugs and their major variants. Although obscure derivatives are low-yield, you will learn their classic and distinguishing toxicities as well as major drug-drug interactions. It is highly recommended to review biochemistry, physiology, and microbiology while studying pharmacology. The exam has a strong emphasis on ANS, CNS, antimicrobial, and cardiovascular agents as well as on NSAIDs, which are covered throughout the course. Since the exam may use graphs to test various pharmacology content, you will also learn how to interpret them.

This complex but important subject has been simplified tremendously by maximizing the usage of our designer ‘Mendel Sketchnotes’ which help in simplifying the most difficult subjects into easy and recallable topics.

Who can attend

The course also includes plenty of clinically-oriented MCQs that cover all the high-yield topics that are most frequently tested in the PG-entrance exams like the USMLE, NEET-PG/NEXT, INI-CET and PLAB.

What you will learn

  • General pharmacology: Pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, Clinical trial design
  • Autonomic nervous system pharmacology
  • Cardiac pharmacology
  • Renal pharmacology
  • Respiratory pharmacology
  • CNS pharmacology
  • Antimicrobials
  • Drugs for inflammatory conditions
  • Immunopharmacology
  • Hematology pharmacology
  • Anti-cancer drugs
  • Endocrine pharmacology
  • Toxicology
  • Self-assessment test with performance analysis
